Our Marine Engineering Apprenticeships are all about designing, building and manufacturing our boats and leads to a Level 3 qualification. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in:

·        GRP bonding

·        Engine installation

·        Engine preparation

·        Installation of electrical and mechanical systems e.g., Generators, navigation equipment, communication equipment

·        Boat testing and commissioning

Our Boat Builder Apprenticeships are all about working on the designs of our luxury yachts. As an apprentice you will learn skills such as building the internal structure and fit out which include plumbing, bench joinery, outfitting and deck fitting and leads to a Level 3 qualification. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in:

·        Bench joinery

·        Boat outfitting, installing component parts within cabins, saloons and galleys

·        GRP bonding and fabrication

·        Deck fitting

·        Plumbing

·        Finishing wood products

·        Inspection and testing

The Level 3 Composites Apprenticeships provide the skills and knowledge of applying Gel, Resins, Catalysts, and Mat materials to form Glass Reinforced Structures which form the decks, hulls, canopies and many other structures of the boats. Apprentices will also carry out GRP repairs and look into new and evolving material technologies.

Our Level 3 Fabrication and Welding Apprenticeships provide the skills and knowledge within a range of specialties such as sheet metal, plate fabrication and welding plus structural steelwork. You will develop your skills in:

·        CNC – laser

·        Break press (DNC)

·        Welding and fabrication of stainless-steel and aluminium

·        Hydraulic tube bending

·        Super marine polishing, manual and electronic

Our Development Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work in 2D and 3D design. You will develop your skills through a variety of modules including:

·        Understanding technical drawings, creating and using patterns, woodworking skills, laminating skills, understanding datums, templating, etc.

·        Fit out techniques- engineering and carpentry

·        Computer Aided Design 

We offer Level 3 apprenticeships in business administration which is a 2-year apprenticeship within one of our business teams across Princess. You will complete units such as managing performance, principles of business administration, communication in a business environment, project management and much more.
