Job Title: M Class Programme Manager Reports to: Operations Director Hours of Work: 39hrs per week, Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm, Fri 7.30am – 12.30pm
Directly / indirectly managing and successfully developing a team assigned to the M Class yachts. Timely and efficient consumption of allocated materials
Main Purpose of Role
Deliver scheduled programmes on time, to cost and quality targets in a safe environment
Support the Operations Director in the delivery of improved operational performance
Establish, maintain and improve processes that deliver a 'Right First Time' philosophy
Interface with clients / client representatives
Manage full cycle build / programme delivery. Provide clear objectives and co-ordination of cross functional resource including sales, development, purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and quality.
Preparation of detailed production plans for each yacht with all planning assumptions verified
Preparation and management of key project KPI's (dashboard) for all functions to deliver programme
Conduct reviews with all independent functions by means of a 12 week look ahead – output measured by KPI.
Provide weekly/monthly reports for executive review detailing project status via key performance indicators.
Work with the Operations Director and other Programme Mangers to balance capacity and resource across all lines.
Drive continuous improvement in areas including but not limited to Assembly Hours, Parts Supply, PD & QI reductions, re-work reductions, Scrap, Obsolescence, BOM accuracy, RFT Design, Quality) and put together specific plans with the interdependent functions and measure improvements
Conduct regular programme reviews with all interdependent functions to ensure plans are on target and to highlight any concerns and put in place suitable countermeasures to protect timing, cost, quality and customer.
Builds and lead a performance driven team, including making key appointments, to deliver the vision
Act as an Ambassador for Princess Yachts, operating with integrity and drive appropriate to the Company’s values, to promote Princess as a market leader.

Work closely with:
Development to ensure next generation boats can be built to cost and quality
Engineering & Quality to drive product and process improvement
HR to ensure that labour relations, recruitment, absence etc are managed professionally
Continuous Improvement function to identify and deliver improvement
SH&E team to ensure that agenda is embedded within manufacturing complies with legislation, regulations and ISO requirements.
Management experience in luxury manufacturing or marine, preferably with large yacht build experience.
Experience handling budgets
Ability to work under own initiative
Thorough knowledge of relevant processes and able to carry out quality audits
Experience in supervising a team
Strong Leadership of the team
Good communication skills
Working knowledge of systems – ERP/MRP, Quality Systems, T&A, Production Control Systems, Engineering Change Process, etc
Ability to utilise and analyse software tools such as efficiency trackers, standard work, block plans to enable schedule adherence and meet productivity targets
Health and Safety qualified and able to carry out risk assessments, Hazard ID etc
Facilitate staff development – probationary reviews/ appraisals/return to work etc
Good IT skills – communication, spreadsheets, presentations
Able to read drawings and impact on production
NPI / PI process knowledge including routine changes and NSO’s
