Job Title: Learning and Development Trainer
Reports to: Head of Learning and Development
Hours of Work: 39hrs per week Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm, Fri 7.30am – 12.30pm

Main Purpose of Role

Design, plan, organise L&D activities for Leaders and indirect staff at all levels to improve skills, behaviours and capability, leading to improved Company performance as identified through the transformation programme.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Working in partnership with Managers and colleagues to identify appropriate and relevant L&D needs for leaders and indirect employees
  • Assisting line managers and HR colleagues to solve specific L&D problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups;
  • Maximising a blended learning approach to deliver the 70:20:10 L&D strategy Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Designing and expanding L&D programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual;
  • Obtain, organize, or develop L&D procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
  • Consider the costs of planned programmes, keeping within budgets and assessing the return on investment of any L&D or development programme
  • Supporting colleagues to develop and deliver effective induction programmes;
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of learners through questionnaires and discussions with managers;
  • Evaluating L&D and development programmes
  • Amending and revising programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Keeping up to date with developments in L&D by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses;
  • Having an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages;
  • Researching new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and presenting this research.

Acting as an Ambassador for Princess Yachts, operating with integrity and drive appropriate to the Company’s values, to promote Princess as a market leader.

Person Specification

  • Preferably CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Significant experience in Learning & Development delivery to leaders, managers and other indirect staff
  • Sound internal customer service ethos with problem solving and solution focused approach
  • Results focused and committed to the values relating to outstanding service delivery
  • Experience in programme delivery from conception to implementation and evaluation
  • Good knowledge and application of training methodologies
  • Knowledge of learning styles and approaches and can develop training materials
  • Knowledge of training evaluation methodology
  • Proven written, oral communication and influencing skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationships
  • Experience of a manufacturing organisation or luxury products is desirable
