Position Title: HR Advisor - Recruitment
Grading: £23-26,000 per annum
Reports To: HR Manager – Operations
Department: HR - Recruitment

Main Purpose Of Role

To provide general recruitment advice and to support the company with regards to all recruitment activities. To balance daily operational focus and strategic activity to ensure continuous improvement.

The purpose of the role is to assist the HR recruitment team in delivering an efficient recruitment service across the business. You will be supporting the hiring managers through the full recruitment and selection process and managing the candidate journey through the entire recruitment process, from point of application to their first day with the business.

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Liaising with hiring managers to establish individual role requirements and assisting them with creating up to date and detailed job descriptions
  • Assessing the most appropriate route to market for each role and designing, and writing job adverts
  • Assessing candidate applications and screening them against the job requirements
  • Conducting telephone interviews at the initial stage to assess candidate suitability
  • Organising and carrying out competency based face to face interviews alongside hiring managers
  • Managing the relationship with Recruitment Agencies
  • Providing appropriate and constructive feedback to both internal and external candidates
  • Providing advice and support to others on recruitment best practice and process, methods of attraction, utilisation of the applicant tracking system
  • Directly sourcing and selecting candidates from the job boards
  • Networking and head hunting potential candidates on LinkedIn
  • Keeping recruitment statistics updated and produce management information as required
  • Liaising with new joiners prior to their start date and ensuring that any queries are answered and the on-boarding process is as smooth as possible
  • Working on various projects as directed by the Recruitment Manager
  • General recruitment administration
  • Any other adhoc tasks as required

Interface with all areas of the business including assembly, fit out, feeder factory, major moulds, logistics, development, outside crew, quality, commercial, IT, Select HR

Person Specification

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of Recruitment/HR systems
  • Employment legislation
  • 2 years minimum experience of working in a HR Recruitment role
  • Have conducted telephone and face to face interviews
  • Substantial experience of searching job boards and other methods of direct sourcing
  • Be able to work well under pressure whilst working to tight deadlines and be used to dealing with high volume recruitment
  • Must be professional and be able to develop and sustain relationships with a variety of managers/stake holders
  • Able to gain people’s confidence and put them at ease
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work with figures and spreadsheets to identify trends
  • Experience of working within a Manufacturing or similar fast pace, challenging environment is desirable
